I've mentioned this before here, but generally, people don't believe that I'm an introvert. This is probably because I'm not shy, and I do well in the spotlight. So I get it. But talking with a lot of people drains me, and I find myself going inward to restore myself.

I was thinking about small talk, and how much I feel drained by it, but also how much it allows people to connect on some level, and that made me think about being in Black barbershops, and having conversations about things I don't care about, and how that's also some form of connection.
