I started reading this new book, "It's Life As I See It", which features Black newspaper cartoonists' work from Chicago during 1940-1980. A lot of the work is from The Chicago Defender, a Black newspaper that still exists online.

Alright, you know I've been doing this Hotwing story (the one Black character from the '80s SilverHawks cartoon). I draw it when I can't sleep, which is most nights, and I've been turning out about 1 fully colored page for week.

This week, though, you'll see that I did a page AND a cover for it. But I realized that I drew Cyborg on the cover in nearly the same position that I drew one of the SilverHawks on page 2, so I'll change pg 2 eventually.

This has been fun, and encouraging to realize that I can consistently finish pages of this level. I've got 2 more to go!

Thanks for your support!
