Oppression is always a volatile topic, no matter how it's presented.
In this case, I'm talking about the U.S.'s history, and how oppressive practices are the dominant trend. So when they resurface, we shouldn't be surprised - we should just treat it as it is, and be vigilant about using the methods of change that are available to us.
Human beings have literally changed the course of rivers, but we didn't do it just by jumping in and splashing. We did it by making a long term plan and executing it.
